Life and Stuff

Life is good. The girls are enjoying 1st and 6th grades; Pete is kicking butt in his MBA program and I am doing a little bit of everything. Reese is swimming 3 days a week and Soren is swimming 4 days and running 2 days. She decided this year to add some running to her schedule and there is not really a good opportunity for that at her age, so coach Pete has yet another client.

This week started my 36 week training program for IM Woodlands in May. I plan on tracking my training on https://www.trisara.blogspot.com. I am also signed up to do the half marathon in San Antonio in November and the relay marathon at Whiterock in December. It is good to be training again!

We had our Limo Night with the neighbors last weekend. We did a pot luck dinner at the Grabeal's before the limo picked us up and took us downtown where we enjoyed dancing until the wee hours. I did not get ANY good pictures! My camera does not like dim light at all. We had a blast, as usual.

Not a lot to report now that we are in school, homework, swim team mode. Soren has some upcoming meets so I will keep you posted on her progress. She has made a goal to swim short course TAGS in the spring, so at these meets she will need to post some fast times to qualify.

A Reese funny for those of you who did not read it on my facebook: Today after my run I went to join all of the neighborhood kids on the water slide. Reese was standing next to me and she sniffs and says "Mom, you smell like Mexico". I decided I didn't want to know exactly what she meant by that. I know that her memories of our trip to Mexico are great, so I will choose to believe that I smelled great :)

Hangin' with Grandma

Last weekend while Pete and I were pedaling away at HHH, Soren and Reese got to hang out with Grandma. It was the weekend of the Sigma Swim Team Banquet and the girls decided to make a cake to take to the event. I could not believe how great it turned out...check it out!

Grandma was able to stay through Sunday, so we went to the new Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. We have not been since it was redone. It is really great; at least 3 times bigger and tons of hands on cool stuff.

Decked out for the 4D feature film of how the earth came to be as it is...an interesting video. Can't agree with all of it, but interesting none the less.

This is a video of the award that Soren received at the banquet. She has a great coach who cares a lot about the kids. It was neat to hear all he had to say.

Also videos of the girls spinning on a cool toy at the museum.
