Florida 8/19/2012

Vacation!  We stayed in the states this year.  Soren and Pete's stomach's don't seem to handle the food in Mexico very well and this was a much easier trip for them.

We have been to Destin many times but this is the first time we have done the condo thing.  I am usually of the opinion that when I am on vacation I do not want to cook; I want to eat out every meal, but I think I have changed my mind after our stay at this resort.  We checked in, went to the grocery store, and then didn't have to leave the property again until it was time to go home.  No leaving the beach to shower and dress to go get food.  It was awesome!  So relaxing.  We loved every minute.  Even the rain!

Soren and Reese crossed these lilly pads more times than I can count.  Blisters all over their hands!

Soren and Reese slept nearly the entire 12 hour drive!  Tough life!

August

Sadly, this is the only picture I have to represent an entire week of hard core running in Missouri for Soren.  She ventured off to cross country camp in the hills of Missouri during the hottest month of the year.  She tent camped (omg!!) and endured multiple runs each day, the first beginning at 5am (omg!!).  Wow.  That's all I can say about that kind of dedication.  She won the 5k race on the last day of camp and brought home this trophy.  Reese and I decorated a welcome home sign to greet her back to civilization.  Soren, you are amazing!

Just a random night with the cousins.  We heart summer!!

 Tour de Goat Neck!

Pops, Nana and Danna came down to join Pete, Reese and I for the Tour de Goat Neck bike rally in Cleburne.  It was a great ride!  So sorry I did not get us together for a picture before the ride.  We rode different routes so we were scattered after the ride and didn't get a picture then either :(

Pops snoozes after his ride

Pizza time at Nanas!

Nana's church offered a week of art camp so she had all of the cousins come and stay with her and go to camp each day.  What a blast!  One evening I came over to help with dinner and we had a make-your-own-pizza party.

always time to stop and torture the little ones :)
