We are home from our last summer getaway. We snuck off to Cozumel for 7 days of relaxation before the craziness of school came crashing in. It was a fantastic time of swimming and eating and swimming and eating. I took three rolls of pictures with the underwater camera and two of them were ruined by water so I only came away with a very few of those and none of little Reese :(
We had the pleasure of Trey and Danna's company for 4 days of the trip! They were there for a scuba diving trip and stayed at the same resort so we got to hang out a lot.
This was our 4th trip to this resort and we discovered a new activity - night snorkeling! Wow! That was a neat experience. I thought it would be scary, but with the lights, and our group of 5, it was very comfortable. The ocean is so different after dark. We saw star fish, an octopus that changed colors, a squid that inked when Soren scared it, and many other creatures that were not seen during our day time swims. We are hooked on that now!
We did have the sad and scary news a few days into our trip that Nana would be having triple bypass surgery on Wednesday before we came home on Friday. She insisted that we not cut our trip short and as hard as it was, we stayed. By early afternoon on Wednesday we received good news that the procedure was a success and we were able to relax and enjoy the rest of our trip.
It was a blessed time of great rest and play and we are so thankful to have had safe travel and no problems along the way. Enjoy the pictures!
