Biking

In April, Pete and I headed down to Marble Falls, TX to train on the bike course that we would race on in a few short weeks.  Wow.  Yes, it is in deed the hill country!  110 brutal miles.  And after all of that, they changed the race course the week before the race.  Oh well.  What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Our workout for the day was 110 miles of riding followed by a 45 minute run.  We had the car parked on the side of the road near a church on the bike route.  After riding, we loaded the bikes back in the car and took off down the road for our run.  When we came back, the window in the car was broken.  It had slipped down into the door and would not come back up.  It was Sunday late afternoon and there was NO ONE around who could fix it.  Trash bags and duct tape it is.  Holy cow.  It was a LOUD 4 hour drive home!

The Lancaster bike rally.  April 2013

I love this picture.  I was riding in the Lancaster rally when this guy rides up next to me and comments on how small my bike is.  Yes, it is small, but HIS bike, oh my gosh, well, just look!  Makes mine look like a toy.

Bike shorts tan lines are awesome.  Not so much.
