On Thursday Reese had her Christmas party and Nana surprised her by coming down for the celebration. The kids had way too much sugar, received a present from Frosty and played “Jingo” (just like bingo).
Thursday Night Soren’s choir performed their Christmas show. Soren was an elf and her part was to introduce the show. The kids did a great job and sang some cute songs that I had not heard before!
Friday was the last day of school so we got to have a party. Reese and I went early and Reese was able to do everything that the class did. She was SO excited. She was treated just like a student and went to all activities with Soren while I stayed in the classroom to set up the party. She will be a pro in kindergarten next year!
Saturday was a swim meet for Soren. She once again showed her stuff and did so well that she has been moved up to the next meet level. Once you achieve certain times in your races you are bumped up so that the field stays even and the kids are challenged. Soren improved on all of her times by a minimum of 7 seconds. She is now a BB swimmer (the rankings start at the bottom with C then B, BB, A, AA). That means no more of these BC meets; she can only go to BB meets.
So now it is Sunday and we are on the road somewhere in no-where Kansas where it is a balmy 11 degrees. We should be in Denver by dinner where I expect a grand meal awaiting our arrival. We have a week of skiing, ice skating, tubing, night skiing…ahead of us and we can’t wait! Here are some of the first pictures of our Christmas vacation…

Tell Soren I said congrats on the BB times! That is awesome! I'm coaching at the BB meet in Lewisville in January, so maybe I will see you guys there?
