The Granbury swim meet was this morning and Soren did AWESOME! She missed practice most of the week because of Cousin Camp and they stayed up late and played hard, so she was very tired when we got her up at 6:00 this morning, but she was ready to swim when we got there. She jumped in and warmed up with no complaining. This was a large meet with many teams and there were over 30 girls her age to compete against. She took first place in the 50 meter freestyle as well as the 25 meter backstroke and 2nd place in the 25 meter freestyle. She had to swim the last race with her goggles in her mouth because they slipped down when she dove in. She said it was very hard to get a breath. She swam so well that I could not even tell she was having a problem. It was a great meet; well run and very organized. The Granbury swim team is huge, over 100 swimmers, and they are great hosts. It is so fun to watch Soren enjoy something this much. She is really loving this sport.

Awesome. Looks like Soren beat everyone by alot. Cousin Camp sounds like a hit too- for both you and the kids. I need to talk to my mom about that.
