Coeur d'Alene

I am SO Pumped!!! Pete and his training partner, Mike (the radiology director at Glen Rose), signed up to do the Ironman in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho for '08. We watched the race on Sunday and it was so exciting. We were tracking a friend of ours who was up there competing and it looks amazing. It is located just east of Spokane Washington. The race will be a year from now, but they had to sign up the day after this year's race because it sells out in a matter of hours. I am so excited to watch Pete do this. It is the ultimate goal for a triathlete. He is doing an ironman distance in September so he should be more than ready for Idaho next June. The one in September is the same distance but it is not Ironman. It is in Oklahoma and it is a nice flat course. It will be a great opportunity for him to experiment with different nutrition and hydration plans as well as see how his body handles those crazy distances. Pretty exciting!
