Travel Day 4 - Thursday 6/19

Travel Day 4. Belgrade, Montana to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. 376 miles.

Today we slept in a little and hit the road out of Belgrade at 8:30 am. Drove through Montana and reached Coeur d'Alene at 1:30. Grabbed some lunch downtown, checked out the race site, bought some cool Ironman stuff, dropped off one of the bikes we transported and finally hooked up with Pete at our hotel at 5:00 pm. Pete's flight out of DFW was delayed this morning due to heavy storms, but he made it here safe and sound.

Pete and I went on a very scenic run and then went to dinner with his Dad and step-mom. It was really nice. Great food.

We are SO glad to be here. There are so many things I want to see, do, eat :) This is a resort town, so there is no end to the temptations. I will just have to run a little bit more. I can dig that.

We will explore the town more tomorrow and start taking pictures of this beautiful place. Until then, here are some from our day.
Some of the beautiful scenery driving through Montana. It is so neat how the mountains change.

We made it!!!

total trip miles from Burleson to Coeur d'Alene : 1,951

Our first glimpse of Lake Coeur d'Alene as we enter the city. This thing is HUGE! We will get some better pictures of it tomorrow. This is the lake where the race will begin!

Reunited with my husband at the hotel. Yea!!
